Trim Materials Ball & Shaft: 316 Stainless Steel (standard) with hard-facing options (e.g., Stellite) for erosive service.
Seat: Multiple Options:
- Soft Seat: Reinforced PTFE (RPTFE), PEEK for tight shut-off and lower temperatures.
- Metal Seat: 17-4PH SS, Stellite, for high temperatures and erosive services.
Flow Capacity (Cv) Extremely high Cv values. Specific values depend on size and trim. (e.g., an 8" SS-263 can have a Cv over 2000).
Rangeability Very High, typically 100:1 or greater.
Leakage Class Soft Seat (PTFE, PEEK): ANSI Class IV (bubble-tight)
Metal Seat: ANSI Class V
Fire-Tested: Designs available to meet API 607/API 6FA fire test standards.
Actuator Options Pneumatic: Piston actuators (e.g., 1061P) are standard for the high thrust requirements of the SS-263.
