The Eaton PKM0-0.63 is a thermal overload relay from the PKZ (PKM) series, designed to provide reliable and cost-effective overload protection for very small three-phase AC motors. It operates on the bimetallic principle, where a heating element, sized for the motor's full-load current, warms a bimetallic strip. In the event of a sustained overload, the strip bends and triggers a mechanically-linked contact to open the control circuit, thereby de-energizing the motor contactor and stopping the motor. This model is designed for direct mounting onto compatible Eaton contactors (like the DILM series).
