The Fisher 22B5998X012 is an anti-extrusion ring set designed for use in high-temperature, high-pressure sliding-stem control valves (for example the Fisher ET/EAT family). The rings are used in conjunction with soft-seated or PTFE‐seated valves to prevent the sealing material (such as PTFE or soft seat) from extruding through clearance gaps between the plug/cage when subjected to harsh service conditions.
