The Fisher Type N480 and N481 are field-mounted electro-pneumatic transducers (commonly known as I/P converters or E/P transducers). Their primary function is to accurately convert a standard analog electrical control signal from a process controller (e.g., a DCS or PLC) into a precise, proportional pneumatic output pressure. This output is used to operate a pneumatic control valve actuator.
