Communication Interfaces：1 x 10/100 Mbit/s RJ - 45 Ethernet port for Modbus TCP, 2 x 115.2 kbit/s RS - 422/485 serial ports for Modbus RTU/ASCII, 1 x USB port for configuration. Functionality：Supports Modbus RTU/ASCII on serial ports, which can be set as master or slave respectively. Supports Modbus TCP/IP on the Ethernet port, which can be set as client or server. It can be used in Rockwell networks (EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet) as slave/server or master/client. Data Address Range：The internal database is 32K word/32K bit. When used as a Modbus slave, the address range of supported function codes is FC1, FC15 (bit) and FC3, FC16 (word). The bit data address range is 0 - 32767, corresponding to MODBUS variables 000001 - 032768; the word data address range is - 32767, corresponding to MODBUS variables 400001 - 432768. Data Exchange Capacity：It can directly realize 248 - word input/248 - word output data exchange on the 1756 backplane. If the communication data exceeds the limit, the 32K - word, 32K - bit internal database provided by the module can be accessed through CIP communication. Connection Quantity：Supports 128 TCP client/server connections. Configuration Method：All settings are carried out through Windows - based software, and the download configuration can be carried out through the Ethernet port of the module and RSLinx driver. Installation Location：Can be placed in 1756 local and remote racks, with no limit on the quantity.
