The Yokogawa UP550-00 is a compact, single-digit process indicator designed for simple and highly visible display of a single process variable's status. Unlike full-featured digital panel meters that show numerical values, the UP550-00 is designed to display a single character or a very limited set of codes (such as -1, 0, 1, H, L, etc.) based on the input signal.

Key Applications
The UP550-00 is used in applications where space is limited and clear status is critical:

Alarm Acknowledgment Indicators: Displaying "H" to show a high alarm has occurred and may require acknowledgment.

Machine State Indicators: Showing "1" for RUN and "0" for STOP based on a contactor auxiliary signal (converted to a voltage).

Limit Monitoring: Displaying "L" when a measured value (like level or pressure) is below a minimum threshold.

Fault Indication: Displaying "F" upon receiving a fault signal from a device.
