The SICK DGS60-A4Z0-S10 is a Receiver unit for the deTec60 Core series of Type 4 safety light curtains. It is a critical component of an electro-sensitive protective device (ESPE) system designed to safeguard personnel by detecting the presence of objects or persons within a defined hazardous area of machinery. When the infrared light beam between the Receiver and its paired Transmitter is interrupted, it sends a stop signal to the machine's control system.

Function and Application
Function: The Receiver unit's job is to detect the infrared light signals sent by the paired Transmitter. Its internal circuitry continuously monitors the signal strength and integrity of all beams. If any beam is blocked or if a fault is detected (e.g., misalignment, dirty lenses), the Receiver immediately switches its safety outputs (OSSDs) to a OFF (safe) state.

Typical Applications: This receiver is used in the same applications as the complete system: safeguarding access points on press brakes, robotic cells, packaging machinery, automated assembly lines, and material handling systems.
