The METSEPM8214 is a single - phase power and energy monitor. It measures voltage in the range of 230V AC (with a tolerance for normal grid fluctuations) and current up to a certain limit, e.g., 100A. It calculates active power, reactive power, and energy consumption. It has basic power quality monitoring features such as detecting voltage sags and swells. The device has 2 digital inputs for external signals like load shedding commands and 1 digital output for alarm indication. Communication is via Modbus RTU over an RS485 interface. It operates on a 24V DC power supply. It can work in an environment with temperatures from -5°C to +55°C and humidity levels of 5 - 95% (non - condensing). It has a small form - factor with an IP20 protection rating, making it suitable for installation in small control panels or residential/commercial sub - panels.
